1st Latin American Conference of the International History, Philosophy, and Science Teaching Group (IHPST-LA)

    The 1st Latin American Conference of the International History, Philosophy, and Science Teaching Group (IHPST-LA) will be held in Maresias, a beach in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 19th to 21th August, 2010. The conference will be organized by the University of Sao Paulo.
    Following the guidelines of the international conferences of the IHPST, the Latin American Conference will be devoted to the presentation and discussion of papers on the use of history and philosophy of science in science teaching. Works presented at the 1st IHPST-LA will be published in a book which is expected to appear in 2011.
     The official languages of this Conference are Portuguese, Spanish, and English. See additional information about IHPST-LA, in Portuguese and Spanish.
    This conference will be preceded by the 8th International Conference for the History of Science in Science Education (8th ICHSSE), from 16th to 19th August, 2010.
